Frequently Asked Questions...

Are Visitors Allowed To Attend Meetings?
Absolutely! We'd love to have you attend a meeting to see if our guild is right for you.

To help cover expenses, there may be a small fee for non-members to attend guild meetings when we are featuring an out-of-town guest speaker.

When/Where Does The Guild Meet?

How Do I Join The Guild?

The Membership page lists the annual dues and has the form to fill out. You can mail the form, or bring it with you to a meeting.

How much are membership dues?

Annual membership dues are $20.

Does that include a printed newsletter?

The $20 annual dues includes the monthly internet newsletter. Printed copies of the newsletter are no longer available.

What if a meeting is cancelled due to bad weather?

Here are our "bad weather" policies:

  • If the Edmond Public Schools are closed due to the weather, then the guild meeting will be cancelled also.

  • If the weather turns bad late in the day (i.e.: after the schools let out), check your TV for any cancellation notices. A board member will notify the local channels which should run the information about the guild meeting being cancelled. You can also call any board member to verify if you have questions—numbers are listed on the first page of every newsletter.

  • Communications will try to send out a timely email announcement regarding cancellation of the meetings.

But the biggest thing to remember …. Although we want you at all the meetings, we want you safe!! If you don’t think the weather is safe for you to drive, please stay home. Be safe!!

Is EQG a non-profit organization?
Yes, the Edmond Quilt Guild is an official 501(c)3 non-profit organization and can accept tax deductible donations.

How long has EQG been around?

The Edmond Quilt Guild was established in 2004. We became a non-profit organization in 2005 and had our first quilt show in 2007.

Does EQG Do Charity Projects?
We sure do! Past charity projects have included making preemie quilts, placemats, lap blankets, rag quilts, and other projects for various charity groups. See the Loving Touch page.

I work with a charity. Would EQG consider it as a project?
Please contact the Loving Touch Committee Chairman to discuss it. Check the current newsletter for contact information.

Technical Issues...

- Our patterns are in PDF format. You'll need Adobe Acrobat to view and print them.

- When printing patterns from Adobe Acrobat, be sure Page Scaling is set to NONE. If it's set to anything else, your patterns won't be the right size.

- In the past, we've had sporadic problems downloading PDF patterns while using the Firefox browser. There have been known issues between Firefox and Adobe Acrobat. If you have trouble, try downloading the patterns using Internet Explorer.
